Lindsay and Quyen’s Silicon Valley wedding took place in the hills between the Pacific Ocean and the valley itself and their timing couldn’t have been any more fortuitous. In the midst of a very stormy California winter, skies parted seemingly just long enough for their day before reverting back to heavy rains and mountain snow the following day. Their wedding ceremony was held at the Valley Presbyterian church, a sanctuary adjacent to a creek and set amongst towering redwood trees.
Get to Know the Couple
How they met
Lindsay and Quyen met through a mutual friend on a hike in the redwoods. Later that evening, Quyen needed contact lens solution because he was sleeping over at our friend’s who didn’t have any, so Lindsay offered to give him her travel size one. She figured she’d never see the bottle again, but he actually brought it back!
Three words that describe them as a couple
Foodies, dog lovers, travelers
The most important thing about their day
Fairly simple: That they both have a great time with the people they love most.
Something else about the couple
They have two small dogs (cockapoo and maltipoo) that they love dearly and they were a big part of their wedding day – bowties and all. Also, the wedding day events were planned to coincide with the couple leaving immediately afterwards, bound for their Lake Tahoe and some epic snowboarding. The storm that arrived the next day would leave them trapped in Tahoe amidst one of the heaviest snowfalls of the year. Snowbound in the Sierras – what a perfectly romantic way to spend a honeymoon together.
