For the last fun adventure on our otherwise mad-dash across the country, we stopped into White Sands National Monument in the southeastern corner of New Mexico. It’s a place truly unlike any other place on earth. When you reach the top of the dunes and look out across the vast expanse of shifting, bleach-white, Gypsum sands, it really does take your breathe away. We picked up a little sand-sled at the visitors center and it didn’t really work too well but was well worth the price to watch Jaime tumble head-over-heels down the dunes (sorry, couldn’t post those or I would be in BIG trouble). If you look closely, there I am on top of the dune!
