A St. Regis Monarch Beach wedding // Soo and Seong

Soo and Seong's St. Regis Monarch Beach wedding came on a gorgeous sunny day after a week of rain. Close call! Their wedding was wonderfully coordinated by Ruth Wang from Behind the Scene with flowers were done by one of our favorite florists - The Treasured Petal. One of the most enjoyable cultural aspects of a Korean wedding day is the Pyebaek ceremony. This is where the bride formally greets her new parents-in-law after the wedding ceremony. The parents throw jujubes and chestnuts, hoping to land them in the dress of the bride to bring many children. Additionally, the groom often gives a piggy back ride to his mother (always a treat) and then his bride, symbolizing his acceptance of his obligations to both his mother and wife. A St. Regis Monarch Beach wedding offers 5-star, luxury amenities and is just a short golf-cart ride to the shores of the Pacific. Which brings us to what was our favorite part of the day - going down to the St Regis' private beach after the wedding with Soo and Seong. So just looked SO cute all day in her dress that we thought she needed a little break to kick off her shoes and run along the shore.
After the wedding, the sweet couple reached out to share some final thoughts on the day:
"We absolutely loved going out to the private beach with Dennis & Jaime to wrap up the big day with some memorable photos by the water.  It was relaxing and beautiful... like a fresh breath of air, we finally had a chance to recollect ourselves and cherish the moments for many more years to come." - Soo and Seong
A perfectly balanced day of casual elegance and Southern California hospitality with the sweetest of couples.
