New Zealand Chapter 1

Over the course of the past month, we photographed weddings in two different countries, weathered severe flooding and washed out roads, 12 hour flights, shed a few of our holiday pounds, celebrated Jaime’s birthday, BOTH completely missed our anniversary, drank our weight in delicious NZ wine, and drove over 2000 kilometers across the entire South Island of New Zealand in a borrowed early 80’s Honda Civic station wagon we named the canary for it’s persistent, squeaky rear struts.  It’s been almost two years since we left New Zealand and it is so important to us that our little kiwi gets to return back to New Zealand as much as possible;  he has a such a strong connection with the place. Here are a few of our favorites with more to come tomorrow. Took him three guesses to tell me what would make fishing more fun.  Answer…to catch a fish! No lie, I actually had to de-intensify the image in photoshop the clouds were just too dramatic.  Just to the north and the south everyone was getting flooding rains this afternoon.
